ASRock and Super Talent

ASRock's Booth

ASRock brings budget goodness into any motherboard and this time, they've got some brand new stuff. The ALiveNF7G-720p is a micro ATX motherboard for the AMD AM2 platform with NVIDIA's new GeForce 7050/nForce 630a chipset featuring HDMI/HDCP with embedded audio and ASRock patented memory performance boosting technology.

ASRock had a demo of the new ALiveNF7G motherboard running a Blu-Ray movie, Open Season. Looking at the OSD information, this is a H.264/AVC encoded movie and the GeForce 7050 seems to be taking it in stride.

On the Intel side, ASRock displayed the slim ConRoe1333-GLAN, which is based on the older Intel 945 series chipsets. ASRock has modified the board to support 1333MHz FSB and Core 2 Duo processors. It will however, not be compatible with quad-core CPUs.

The ConRoe1333-DVI/H is a similar board as the ConRoe1333-GLAN, but is a full ATX sized board. The Intel 945G Express chipset's GMA 950 IGP offers DVI-D and VGA output. However, the board can also be modified to be compliant with HDCP through a special add-on card.

This DVI Graphics-HDCP card will be bundled with the ConRoe1333-DVI/H motherboard to support HDCP encrypted content.

Super TalentTalent

Super Talent's booth may not be as elaborate this year, but they've a full range of the latest DDR3 and SSD technologies.

Other than regular DDR3 memory modules, Super Talent also showcased their enthusiast extreme performance range up to DDR3-1500 speeds.

Notebook DDR3-1066 SO-DIMM modules are also available from Super Talent.

An entire range of SSD IDE and SATA drives from mini 1.3-inch to regular desktop 3.5-inch models. Super Talent offers up to 64GB capacities at the moment.
