A Secret LG Affair

A Secret LG Affair

While the LG Secret was named to exude a sense of mystery to accompany its stylish design, its specifications were of no Secret to us when we got a closer look at this new member of the Black Label series. Sporting a 5-megapixel camera with its slim 11.8mm profile, the LG Secret is built to last with a high-grade carbon fiber material on its rear profile and has a tempered glass front display that should withstand the elements of rough use. On the display front, the Secret comes with a 2.4-inch LCD TFT QVGA touch screen, supporting resolutions of up to 240 x 320 pixels, and its main interface will be based on its Neon Touch Navigation that provides an illustrious response to the touch.

Moreover, the Secret is equipped with an accelerometer (a feature that has become quite common in recent devices) and thus enables one to easily switch between their preferred landscape or portrait orientation for movie viewing or text messaging. And to enhance the user experience, the Secret utilizes LG's Touch Media user interface (UI), an all-in-one portal for the myriad of multimedia features found within the device, ranging from music, photo, games, office and the FM radio. For the movie buffs, the Secret also comes with direct support for DivX encoded movies.

The 102.8 x 50 x 11.8mm device weighs in reasonably at 116g for a device of its stature, and more importantly, catches up with the latest technological trend as a 3.5G cellular device. As mentioned, the Secret's building blocks include a tempered glass front display...

and a high-grade carbon fiber backing to keep it in style with no fears of scratches or cracks. The 5-megapixel camera will be well accompanied with its 100MB internal memory and will support microSD expandability of up to 4GB to sustain additional multimedia files on the said device.

The Secret felt so right in our hands, and the only worry one should have is the amount of fingerprint smudges on the 2.4-inch display as you go through the daily navigation motions.
