One of the interesting showcases that Microsoft had was on IPTV application. The GUI is quite similar to the existing Media Center Edition (MCE) operating systems but it functions differently. Doing away with set top boxes and expensive tuners, Microsoft's IPTV uses software to mimic these functions. All you need is simply a broadband Internet connection and you will be streaming TV content (including high-definition videos) to your PC or TV.
