If you are looking for the latest and greatest in networking, then you need to check out the ASUS GT-AX11000 router. This is a tri-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) router that is capable of delivering speeds of up to 1,148Mbps on its single 2.4GHz network and 4,804Mbps on each of its two 5GHz network. To take advantage of its high wireless speeds, it features a 2.5Gbps WAN port. It is priced at S$573 (U.P S$699) and comes with a free limited edition ASUS backpack.

The ASUS Lyra Voice is one of the most versatile smart speakers available. Apart from playing music, it also doubles up as tri-band AC2200 mesh router. Therefore, not only can it play music and control your smart devices using Alexa, it can also help expand your home wireless network. It is priced at S$369 (U.P S$399).

The RT-AX88U is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router that supports speeds of up to 1,148Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 4,804Mbps on its 5GHz network. It also has eight Gigabit LAN ports. It's priced at S$490 (U.P S$599) and comes with a free limited edition ASUS backpack.

Aztech

The Aztech WMB250AC is a dual-band AC2100-class Wi-Fi meshing networking system that comes in a pack of three. It is ideal for folks who are staying in large homes. It delivers speeds of up to 300Mbps and 1,733Mbps on its 2.4GHz and 5GHz network respectively. Each node also has five Gigabit Ethernet ports — one for WAN and another four for LAN. It’s going for S$369 (U.P S$499) and comes with a free WIPC420HD 720p HD cloud camera worth S$109.

 

D-Link

The D-Link Covr-2202 was our winner of Best Mesh Networking System at our 2019 Tech Awards. It is a tri-band system that supports speeds of up to 400Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 867Mbps each on its two 5GHz networks. And since it is a tri-band system, it can allocate a single network to backhaul transmissions for better performance. D-Link claims a two-pack system can cover up to 550sqm or 6,000 sq ft - good enough for most apartments in Singapore. It is going for S$269 (U.P S$379).

The DIR-2660 is a dual-band AC2600-class router with mesh capability. If you should ever require more Wi-Fi coverage, you can add on mesh nodes. You can get it at Comex 2019 for S$179 (U.P S$209) and it will come with a free DRA-2060 dual-band AC2000 mesh networking node worth S$99.

Linksys

The Linksys Velop is one of the mesh networking systems that has a dedicated network for backhaul communications. The Velop is a tri-band system that supports speeds of up to 400Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 867Mbps on its 5GHz network. One of its 5GHz network is set aside for backhaul communications. A 3-pack set is going for S$429 (U.P S$499), the 2-pack set is S$299 (U.P S$399); finally, the single Velop pack is S$158 (U.P S$229). Every purchase will come with a free Belkin SurgeCube.

The Linksys MR8300 is a tri-band router with mesh networking capabilities. It supports speeds of up to 400Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and speeds of up to 867Mbps each on its two 5GHz network. And if you wish to expand Wi-Fi coverage at your home, you can do that by adding Linksys' Velop nodes to the network. You can get the MR8300 alone for S$299. You can also get it together with a dual-band Velop node for S$329, or with a tri-band Velop node for S$399. Each purchase will come with a free 10,000mAh power bank, a USB-C car charger and cable, and a 2-port swivel charger.

 

Netgear

The latest firmware update for the Netgear Orbi turns it into a true mesh networking system. The Orbi is one of the fastest mesh networking system around and is the winner of our Best Mesh Networking System award at Tech Awards 2018. It is an AC3000-class tri-band router capable of supporting speeds of up to 400Mbps on its 2.4GHz network amd 867Mbps on its 5GHz network. It has a separate 5GHz network that is dedicated to backhaul communications and that supports speeds of up to 1,733Mbps. A 3-pack is priced at S$749 (U.P S$949) while a 2-pack is going for S$499 (U.P S$649).

The Netgear XR300 is the company's entry-level gaming router. Nonetheless, it still has decent specifications, supports speeds of up to 450Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 1,300Mbps on its 5GHz network. It also features DumaOS, a router OS designed just for gaming. Using DumaOS, players can use the Geo-Filter map to configure the XR300 router to block servers and gamers that are far away. It is going for S$279.

The Netgear RAX120 is a dual-band AX6000-class Wi-Fi 6 router that supports speeds of up to 1,200Mbps on its 2.4GHz network and 4,800Mbps on its 5GHz network. It also has a single 'Multi-Gig' Ethernet LAN port that can support either 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, or 1Gbps link rates. It is going for S$799.

TP-Link

The Deco M9 Plus is a tri-band mesh networking system and it also has built-in smart home hub functions supporting Bluetooth 4.2 and ZigBee. It features a minimalist design which means it should blend well into most homes regardless of your decor. A 2-pack is going for S$259 (U.P. S$309) while a 3-pack will cost S$399 (U.P S$479).
