Storage

ASUSTOR

The Asustor AS-1002T is an entry-level NAS powered by a 1GHz dual-core Marvell processor and supports up to two SATA drives. It is priced at just $169.

 

Crucial

If you need a large capacity SSD, the Crucial MX500 could be perfect. Available from 250GB up to 2TB. Prices are as follows: 250GB ($95), 500GB ($138), 1TB ($295), 2TB ($605).

 

G-Drive

Looking for a speedy Thunderbolt 3 external storage solution? The G-Drive with Thunderbolt 3 is available in 4TB ($529), 6TB ($592), 8TB ($730), 10TB ($759), and 12TB ($965).

 

Kingston

The Kingston A400 employs the use of TLC NAND and is one of the most affordable drives at the show. Available in 120GB ($38), 240GB ($61), and 480GB ($113).

 

LaCie

The LaCie Porsche Design Desktop Drive is probably the most stylish external HDD we saw at the show. Available in 4TB ($159) and 6TB ($209).

The LaCie Porsche Design Mobile Drive is available in various hues to suit your taste. There's silver, gold, and rose gold to choose from. Available in 1TB ($99), 2TB ($129), 4TB ($179), and 5TB ($219) capacities.

 

QNAP

For serious users, the QNAP TS-963X features a 2GHz quad-core processor and supports up to 9 drives and 10Gb connectivity. It is going for $1,100 (U.P $1,230).

 

Samsung

The Samsung Portable SSD T5 is a compact, stylish, and fast portable external SSD. Available in 250GB ($139), 500GB ($229), 1TB ($489), and 2TB ($999). The 250GB and 500GB comes with a free 5-port USB charging hub, whereas the 1TB model gets a free $30 voucher and leather pouch, and finally the 2TB model comes with a free $50 voucher and leather pouch.

The high-end Samsung 970 Pro SSD us available in 512GB and 1TB capacities and are priced at $349 and $769 respectively. Every purchase will come with a free Samsung printer worth $228.

The 970 Evo is available in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities and are priced at $159, $269, $539, and $1,099 respectively. Purchasing the 250GB and 500GB drives will get you a free $20 voucher, while buyers of the 1TB and 2TB drives will get a free $50 voucher.

 

SanDisk

The SanDisk iXpand Base is a nifty little device that charges and backs up your iPhone at the same time. It provides up to 15W of power so charging times should be significantly reduced. Available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities, it is priced at $88, $128, and $218 respectively.

The SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD is one of the cheapest SSDs at the show to use 3D NAND. It is available in 250GB ($99), 500GB ($160), and 1TB ($335) capacities.

Looking for a speedy portable drive? The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD could jsut be what you are looking for. Speed aside, it is also water, dust, and shock resistant. Available in 250GB ($140), 500GB ($230), 1TB ($469), and 2TB ($938) capacities. All purchases will come with a free 6-in-1 travel organizer.

 

Seagate

The Seagate Backup Plus Hub is a desktop drive with an integrated USB hub that has two USB 3.0 ports that you can use to charge your mobile devices. The 4TB drive is $159 (U.P $269), while the 6TB, 8TB, and 10TB drives are $219 (U.P $459), $309 (U.P $499), and $399 (U.P $599) respectively. All purchases will come with a 2-month membership of the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan.

Portable external SSDs are all the rage now and here's the Seagate Fast SSD. Available in 250GB ($129), 500GB ($219), 1TB ($459), 2TB ($949). All purchases will come with a 2-month membership of the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan and carrying case.

The Backup Plus Slim is compact and comes in a multitude of colors to suit your taste. The 1TB drive is $79 (U.P $109) while the 2TB drive is $109 (U.P $159). All purchases will come with a 2-month membership of the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan and carrying case.

On the other hand, the Backup Plus comes in 4TB and 5TB capacities, and is priced at $149 (U.P $259) and $199 (U.P $339) respectively. All purchases will come with a 2-month membership of the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan and carrying case.

 

Strontium

Photography folks looking to pick up SD cards on the cheap should check out Strontium. The Strontium Nitro SD card is available in 16GB ($8.50), 32GB ($12.90), and 64GB ($23.90).

 

Synology

The Synology DiskStation DS218j is 2-bay NAS designed for mainstream users. It can do wireless backups and can synchronize files across your devices using Synology's Cloud Station Suite. Mobile apps allow your mobile devices to quickly and safely access files stored on the drive. The barebones system is going for $239.

 

Transcend

The Transcend SSD220S is one of the most affordable SSDs we found at the show. The 120GB version is just $45, while the 250GB and 480GB versions are just $79 and $139 respectively. Perfect for breathing life into an aging system.

If you need an M.2 drive, be sure to check out the Transcend SSD 820S. Prices start at $45 for the 120GB version, $79 for the 240GB version, and $149 for the 480GB version.

 

WD

The WD My Passport comes in various colors and is available in 1TB ($75), 2TB ($109), and 4TB ($149) capacities. All purchases will come with free 1-year data recovery service and a carrying pouch.

The WD Blue SSD is available in M.2 and 2.5-inch form factors and is available in 250GB ($99), 500GB ($159), and 1TB ($389).

Wary about online cloud storage services? Setup your own with the WD My Cloud Home drives. The WD My Cloud is available in 4TB ($269), 6TB ($359), and 8TB ($449). All purchases will also come with free 1-year data recovery service.

There's also the WD My Cloud Home Duo, which is a 2-drive version of the My Cloud Home and has the ability to be configured in RAID 1 so that all your data is duplicated. It is available in 4TB ($429), 6TB ($529), 8TB ($569), 12TB ($799), 16TB ($999), and 20TB ($1,199). All purchases will also come with free 1-year data recovery service.
