Sonos

Sonos is offering 5% off all players if you get them as a single unit, so the Play:3 pictured here goes at $531 instead of the usual price of $559, a pretty good price for the wireless multi-room capable speakers.

The Play:5 features Trueplay audio tuning software which uses your iPhone’s microphone to calibrate the speaker to your room, giving you an optimal listening experience. Get a bundle of two Play:5s at this show, and you’ll get 7% off, bringing the price for that package down to $1858 instead of the usual price of $1998.

Otherwise, get the Sonos Playbar and Sub for a 3.1 channel Home Theatre setup for $2416, also down 7% from the usual price of $2598. The Playbar and Sub communicate through Wi-Fi and and be controlled by app from your smart device, giving you a great wireless entertainment solution.

Sony

Sony has dubbed the SRS-HG1 the “World’s Smallest High-Resolution Portable Speaker”, and at just 204x62x60 mm it certainly seems the part. These are HRA capable portable speakers that have LDAC and multi-room capabilities, and boast a battery life of 12 hours. They’re going for $309, (after $50 cashback) at the show.

Also available, is the SRS-X11. These ultra-portable Bluetooth speakers are available in a choice of five colors, and have a battery life of 12 hours. These are going for $89, down from the usual price of $99.

For a more heavy duty solution, look to the HT-NT5 soundbar. This is going for $1,049 at the show, and is High-Res Audio capable. It is also Wi-Fi capable and so offers easy access to music content from the web and via Google Cast.

The recently launched A7 II camera is one of the better options at this show. It’s going for $2,349 with the SEL2870 lens, and you’ll get a free battery thrown in.  You’ll also have the option to purchase selected E-mount lenses at a discounted purchase-with-purchase price. For example, you can get the Zeiss Vario-Tessar T* FE24-70mm F4 ZA OSS for just $1,349, $250 off the usual price of $1,599.

The DSC-RX100 III features a 20.1MP 1.0” Exmor R CMOS sensor, and a f/1.8-f/2.8 Zeiss Vario Sonnar T* 24-70mm lens. This is also on offer at the show, going for $949 instead of the usual $1,199, and you’ll get a free 16GB memory card.

Otherwise, look to the A6000. This APS-C mirrorless camera may be a generation old, but it still has an autofocus time of just 0.06s, and is capable of up to 11fps continuous shooting. It’s powered by a 24.3MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, and is going for just $899 with the SELP1650 lens. You’ll also get a 16GB memory card, spare battery, and carrying case thrown in.

This deal is not listed in Sony’s brochures, but we found out that the MDR-XB950BT, an Extra-Bass lifestyle wireless headphone, is going at S$199 (U.P. S$249) Grab it at Suntec Hall 404, Booth 8115.

If you're aiming for a smaller-size 4K TV, have a look at the X8000D series. Running Android TV with support for 4K HDR, the 49-inch X8000D is going for $1,999 after a $600 cashback; while the 43-inch version is going for $1,399 after a $400 cashback.

The Bravia Z9D is a high-end 4K TV that Sony has just announced in July, but the 65-inch model is already here at Comex. Powered by Android TV (which means access to Google Play), the Z9D sports a Backlight Master Drive tech for an incredibly wide dynamic range, so if HDR is your thing, this TV should definitely be in your shortlist. Going for $7,999 after a $1,000 cashback.

The Sony Xperia X is a 5-inch Full HD smartphone running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor with 3GB RAM. It has a 23-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus and LED flash. Grab one from Comex at StarHub's booth for free when you sign up for a 4G 4 plan at $62.90/month and get a free Sony Clear Case and headphones and Sony Docking Station.

The Sony SmartWatch 3 is an Android-powered smartwatch with a 1.6-inch transreflective display. Its IP68 rating makes it ideal for wearing at the pool or beach. Get one at Comex for just $248 (usual price: $298).
