Headphones & Speakers - 2

Looking for a sound bar to go with your new TV? Take a look at the HW-Q60R then. This uses Samsung Acoustic Beam Technology to focus and direct sound for a virtual 5.1 surround effect, and even features an Adaptive Sound feature that optimizes the sound to the content you're watching. It's going for show special of S$599 instead of the usual list price of S$1,199.

Otherwise, look at the HW-N850. This may be an older model, but it still features true Dolby ATMOS and DTS:X support. It's now going for just S$1,299, down from the usual S$1,999. What's more, you'll get a $100 shopping voucher (good for Giant, 7-11, and Cold Storage) thrown in too.

Sennheiser is back at the show, and there are great deals to be had. For example, the PXC 550 above can be had for just S$359 instead of the usual of S$649, a great price for these wireless headphones that also boast noise-canceling capabilities. And you'll also get a powerbank thrown in for free!

There's also the Momentum Free wireless in-ear headphones, and these have support for apt-X while using Bluetooth 4.2 for streaming. They can be had for about S$239 instead of the usual price of S$299, a $60 savings.

Sonos is also at the show, and their star buy is the Sonos ONE smart speaker. This is going for $299 instead of $329, a $30 savings off the regular price. Get two, and that drops to $588, almost $100 savings off the usual of $658. As a reminder, this speaker has two class D amplifiers driving a tweeter and a mid-woofer. It also has integrated support for multiple voice assistants so you can use it to get Alexa running in your home.

Also worth checking out, is the brand new Sonos Amp. No discount for this as it's pretty much brand new, but for S$1099 you'll be able to pair regular passive speakers with your wireless Sonos ones. It goes all the way up to 125W per channel, so you'll definitely have enough oomph to drive even the larger speakers.

If you're looking for a compact wireless speaker, check out Sony's SRS-XB10. This is going for just $59; a great bargain for this wireless waterproof portable speaker that has a 16 hour battery life and the ability to be paired with another to provide true stereo sound.

If true wireless headphones are more your thing, and you don't mind picking up a refurbished set, look to the WF-1000X. This is going for just S$149 at the show, down $200 from the usual price of S$349. A great price for these true wireless headphones that were designed for everyday use and have Sony's Sense engine built in..

Rather have a sound bar for your TV? Sony has you covered too. We'd go with the HT-ST5000. It may be an older model, but it boasts 7.1.2 ch S-Force Pro Front Surround sound with full support for Dolby ATMOS. This is going for just S$1,999 at the show, down from the usual price of S$2,799, a savings of $800!
