Zyxel's Booth

Zyxel's Booth

Zyxel's Booth had a lot of corporate level networking equipment to showcase for infrastructure strengthening or expansion.

We were naturally more interested in the smaller scale devices such as this NSA-220 Plus, as Zyxel calls it, a central digital media library. This dual-bay device supporting a maximum of 3TB storage in total, is DLNA 1.5 certified, has auto photo/video upload functions to YouTube/Flickr if you so wish to do so, automatic downloading from BT, HTTP or FTP, and a built-in RSS server/client fro auto-uploads and status updates.

Here's a PowerLine Ethernet Multiplug Center (PLA-491). It is HomePlug AV compliant and supports transmission rates up to 200Mbps, has a four-port 10/100Mbps Ethernet for multiple powerline connections and a Home Plug instant encryption feature (toggled via a button).

They've also got WiMAX equipment ready. Here's hoping to a faster certification and adoption worldwide, else we'll all still be dreaming of WiMAX even past 2010.
