Canon Lens Fun at the Zoo
Canon Lens Fun at the Zoo
Wildlife and Canon
We recently joined Canon in a short photography tour around the zoo, equipped with three new lenses mounted on a mixture of high-end DSLRs such as the Canon 5D Mark II and 1D Mark IV. To start off, the Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM lens is perfect for those who want the best of both ultra-wide angle and fisheye photography opportunities. The 300mm and 400mm lenses are optimal choices for those looking into sports and wildlife photography.
We would like to emphasize that this is not a review but a hands-on preview with sample photos to give you a glimpse of what the lenses can offer. Have fun viewing them and hopefully they've helped you get an idea of their potential.
Canon EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye USM Lens
The Canon EF 8-15mm Fisheye lens will produce a circular fisheye effect at 8mm and a full-frame fisheye effect at 15mm. On bodies with cropped sensors (APS-C and APS-H), you will get a full-frame ultra-wide fisheye effect.

Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens
The Canon EF 300mm lens is the sixth in the family of 300mm f2.8 lenses. One of the key improvements is that its weight has been slightly reduced by 6%, making a dip from 2.55kg to 2.4kg.
