Canon Unveils its Harbourfront Hub

Perhaps in conjunction with the government's goal to become a regional hub for Biomedical Science, Digital Animation and Information Technology, and also by the integrated resort that's due to take place on Sentosa, Canon has just dropped anchor at Harbourfront with an all-new 3,500 square feet flagship store called Canon LiNK at VivoCity, Singapore. Together with the existing Customer Service Centre and Canon Digital Labs (free training classes for Canon are held there) at Keppel Bay Tower that is just a stone's throw away, the Harbourfront area is now Canon's abode.

At the opening, Mr. Kazuto Ogawa, President and CEO, Canon Singapore, addressed the crowd. According to him, the new flagship store will exhibit works of amateur and professional photographers to inspire budding artists. Also, official Canon merchandise such as caps and t-shirts will be available at the storefront.

Following that, internationally reknowned celebrity photographer, Russel Wong, presented his latest book to Mr. Kazuto Ogawa, who was subsequently invited to appreciate the photographs that were being exhibited at the flagship store.

On a sidenote, Mr. Kazuto Ogawa also delighted visitors from China and India during the ceremony by announcing that warranty for Canon products bought in Sinapore will be extended to customers from China and India - certainly a piece of good news for tourists to Singapore.

The opening was a huge one with a horde of media there in attendance, most of whom were eager to meet Russel Wong, an internationally acclaimed celebrity photographer.

3,500 square feet of retail space means virtually anything related to Canon can be found at the storefront - this even includes authentic Canon caps, jackets and t-shirts!

The look of Canon LiNK @ VivoCity was inspired by the Perpetual Curve and Emotion Plus aesthetics of IXUS cameras and PIXMA printers.
