Games to watch out for the rest of the month: Minecraft, Mortal Kombat and more!

By Tim Augustin - 21 May 2020

Minecraft, Mortal Kombat and Xenoblade Chronicles!

Minecraft Dungeons (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) - May 26

Do you like Minecraft? Do you like Diablo? If you just said yes twice, boy do I have the game for you. Minecraft Dungeons puts a dungeon-crawling spin on the endearingly pixelated, but somehow still gorgeous Minecraft universe. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) - May 26

As if Mortal Kombat 11 wasn’t meaty enough, here comes a huge expansion to the game. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath adds new story chapters, three fighters, two stages and Friendships to the game. The story picks up from the main game’s cliffhanger ending, with Liu Kang in charge of crafting a new timeline for the Mortal Kombat universe - but Shang Tsung crashes the party, and predictably causes chaos. This is going to be a good one!

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (Nintendo Switch) - May 29

The legendary open world RPG is back! Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition brings the game to the Nintendo Switch with remastered visuals, redone music and overhauled mechanics to bring the game up to date. If you don’t fancy replaying the game for a hundredth time, know that it even comes with a brand-new story epilogue titled ‘Future Connected’. The epilogue features an extra adventure with Shulk and Melia!
