The World of Studio Ghibli exhibition is coming to ArtScience Museum on 4 Oct

Fans of Studio Ghibli are going to be excited about this: The World of Studio Ghibli exhibition is coming to Singapore, opening its doors at the ArtScience Museum on 4 October.

This is the first time the iconic Japanese animation studio is showcasing its full range of art and installations from its animes. According to the press release from ArtScience Museum, the exhibition will span 2,400 square metres across 11 galleries, and fans can embark on a journey through 11 of Studio Ghibli’s beloved films, including My Neighbour Totoro (1988), Kiki’s Delivery Service (1989), Princess Mononoke (1997), Spirited Away (2001), and Howl’s Moving Castle (2004).

The main attractions feature 16 large-scale theatrical sets that will transport visitors into the heart of these classics – from waiting in the rain with Totoro to riding the train with No-Face.

In addition to these immersive sets, the exhibition includes 16 art installations that offer a glimpse into Studio Ghibli’s creative processes and fans can take a closer look at the artistry and innovation behind the studio’s storytelling magic.

And what is a good Studio Ghibli exhibition without merchandises? Visitors can look forward to making a stop at the retail shop at the end of the exhibition, where eexclusive Studio Ghibli merchandise and souvenirs, specifically designed for this presentation at the ArtScience Museum, will be on sale.

Ticket sales for The World of Studio Ghibli start next week. Sands Lifestyle Members can enjoy a five-day pre-sale from 29 July, 10am onwards, to 2 August, with exclusive perks and discounts available at Marina Bay Sands box offices and online (click here). Meanwhile, ticket sales for the general public commence on 3 August, 10am onwards, through Klook or Marina Bay Sands box offices.
