Season 2 of HBO Original's House of the Dragon will debut on 17 June

There's also not one but two new "dueling" trailers.

HBO's fantasy TV series House of the Dragon Season two will return on 17 June, with a total of just eight political intrigue and dragon-fueled episodes to follow weekly on both HBO and HBO GO.

At the recent Series Mania event in Lille, France, HBO's Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and the Head of Drama Series & Films, also launched the company’s first ever “dueling” trailers – the Green and the Black trailers:

These trailers showcasee the escalating tension between the Green and Black Councils, as each backs a different claimant to the Iron Throne – King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively.

Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series, set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, tells the story of House Targaryen. House of the Dragon Season two returning cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.
