Rick and Morty go on an adventure in an anime coming to HBO GO on 16 August

Wubba lubba dub dub. A new Rick and Morty anime series has just been announced.
Written and directed by Takashi Sano of Tower of God, Rick and Morty: The Anime consists of 10 episodes and will premiere on HBO GO across Asia on 16 August. Takashi had previously directed two other anime shorts, “Rick and Morty vs. Genocider” and “Summer meets god (Rick meets evil) in 2020 and 2021 respectively.

The 10-episode series promises to expand on the Rick and Morty universe, offering a fresh take on the beloved characters. The anime will follow Rick, Morty, and the Smith family through new intergalactic adventures, with storylines including Rick’s relaxation in a pseudo-world between multiverses, Summer assisting Space Beth against the Galactic Federation, and Morty falling for a mysterious atemporal being.
The anime will feature both Japanese and English voice casts, with Youhei Tadano and Joe Daniels voicing Rick in their respective languages. Other cast members include Keisuke Chiba and Gabriel Regojo as Morty, and Akiha Matsui and Donna Bella Litton as Summer. Both Youhei Tadano and Keisuke Chiba have also previously worked together with director Takashi Sano in the previous Rick and Morty shorts.
