PSA: The Samsung Galaxy Note 8, LG V30, and Sony Xperia XZ1 can stream Netflix in HDR
You still need the appropriate Netflix plan though.
As reported by SamMobile, Netflix has now listed the Galaxy Note 8 (our review!) a capable device for streaming Netflix in HDR10.
As it stands, these are the five Android phones that officially support Netflix HDR playback:
The LG G6 is arguably the standout phone in this list, as it can also support the Dolby Vision HDR format.
Just to be clear, having any of these phones isn’t enough. You also need to subscribe to Netflix’s premium 4-screen/UHD plan to be able to stream HDR videos.
