Squid Game season 2 premiered after a three-year hiatus from its original run, but fans won't have to wait long for season 3. Netflix has announced that Squid Game season 3 will premiere on 27 June of this year, and will conclude the series as a whole.
Alongside this announcement, Netflix also revealed a new poster for Squid Game's final season. Harking back to similar posters that were released for seasons 1 and 2, only this time featuring a floor with a flower pattern, which Netflix says "foreshadows the cutthroat finale to come":

It also features the silhouettes of Young-hee, the iconic Red Light, Green Light doll, and her companion Cheol-su, which were referenced in a post-credits scene in season 2. Netflix says it's a sign of more brutal games in store for the participants.
We'll have to wait and see whether the flowers represent a new flower-themed game or if they have a more metaphorical meaning. For reference, the season 1 teaser poster featured the circle, triangle and square motif that would become a staple for the series, while the season 2 teaser featured a six-legged pentathlon, which was a key game in the season.
Without spoiling too much for those who haven't caught up, Squid Game season 2 saw the return of protagonist Seong Gi-hun joining a new iteration of the deadly games to put a stop to them. New voting mechanics saw participants divided into factions, with the season ending on a cliffhanger after a failed rebellion. Season 3 picks up right after, and it seems that one way or another, the games continue.
Netflix also released some new stills from season 3. Take a look at them here:
