Daniel Craig’s last ride in a gun-toting Aston Martin will have to wait.

No Time to Die has officially been postponed to 2021. The 25th James Bond movie will now debut on April 2, 2021 instead of November this year, one full year from its original release date of April 2020.

The movie’s distributor United International Pictures has also delayed F9, the penultimate installment in the Fast & Furious main series. That movie was meant to premiere on April 21, 2021, but has been postponed to May 28, 2021 instead. Presumably, this move was to make space for No Time to Die’s new release date in April.

These delays should not come as much of a surprise. Christopher Nolan’s Tenet was one of the few movies to hit cinemas despite the pandemic in late August, but the movie has only managed to gross US$45 million in U.S. cinemas on a budget of US$200 million. That might’ve been the straw that broke the camel’s back for most distributors, delaying their films out of this year and into the next.

Disney has recently delayed multiple movies to 2021 as well, including Black Widow.

Update - We now have new dates for a couple more movies on United International Pictures' slate:

Freaky - November 12, 2020

News of the World - 21 January, 2021

Rumble - 25 February 2021

United Internation Pictures also postponed Top Gun: Maverick, A Quiet Place 2 and more earlier this year.
