HBO and Max Content are delving deep into the past with its forthcoming Dune prequel series. Yep, seems like we cannot get enough of Dune.
The streaming service has unveiled the first trailer for Dune: Prophecy, a limited series set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides arrives on Arrakis. HBO says the show will premiere later this year, although it stopped short of confirming a firm date.

Dune: Prophecy is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune and centres on the origins of the Bene Gesserit, the secretive group pivotal to many key events in the Dune universe. According to Max, the series “follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces threatening the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect known as the Bene Gesserit”.
The limited series will consist of just six episodes when it finally airs, but you can catch Denis Villeneuve’s really excellent Dune film on HBO Go now (Part One is available now while Part Two arrives on 21 May) and see just how powerful – and terrifying – the Bene Gesserit are in the film.
You can subscribe to HBO GO online at https://www.hbogoasia.sg/ or the mobile app via the App Store or Play Store starting from S$9.99/mth. HBO GO is also accessible via StarHub, Singtel and meWatch.
