National Day is just around the corner and Apple is celebrating all things Singaporean.

As part of its National Day celebrations, Apple's iTunes Movies and Apple Music will be turning a spotlight on Singaporean movies and artistes.

Apple Music will be featuring specially curated playlists by local artistes like The Sam Willows, Sezairi, Linying, iNCH, Nathan Hartono, Gentlebones and more.

For example, The Sam Willows have created a playlist of their music by other Singaporean artistes. This is live now.

iTunes Movies, on the other hand, will have a special section featuring movies like 12 Storys, Banting, Unlucky Plaza, and more that goes live on 7 August.

Finally, the App Store will be getting a minor makeover with each different sections retitled with popular Singlish phrases.

For example, under the section "Makan leh", users will be able to find restaurant reservation apps or apps for food delivery.

Another section - "Feeling nua", users can find entertainment apps like Netflix, Toggle, and Viki that lets them sit back and chill.
