At the media preview, Shinsuke Nonaka, Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs at Studio Ghibli (first row, centre), was present alongside two extremely recognisable mascots.

2/26

Almost all of Studio Ghibli's most famous works are on display here. I say most, because films like Graveyard of the Fireflies were noticeably missing. Presumbly due to the tragic (and probably not suitable for younger children) theme of the film.

3/26

One of the first display you'll see upon entering is a very cool movable Howl's moving castle.

4/26

There are also very detailed, and very accurate, figures and reconstructed rooms from the film.

5/26

You can even "catch" her below.

6/26

And who can forget these two sisters who are staying in rural Japan to be closer with their ill mother?

7/26

My Neighbor Totoro's section is one of my favourite; especially this forest walk. Try spotting the soot sprites here too!

8/26

You can also peek through Totoro's cave to see him sleeping.

9/26

Unfortunately, you cannot cuddle him.

10/26

The most iconic scene of the film. You can pick up the red umbrella on the right and take a very cool photo (for the Gram) too.

11/26

Catbus didn't make an appearance, but you can see the lovable furball in wall-sized posters that also make for great photo opportunities.

12/26

Don't let this photo fool you; this is a small diorama frame. The details are immaculate.

13/26

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is one of Studio Ghibli's earliest film that was adapted from the original manga of the same title by Hayao Miyazaki. It's a brilliant tale about environmental destruction, and a reminder of just how "messed up" mankind really is.

14/26

Everybody's favourite Crimson pig makes an appearance at the exhibition too!

15/26

Like all of the dioramas, Crimson Pig's section also features some very cool and detailed models of the aircraft shown in the film. I just wish there were more!

16/26

Of course there's a section for Princess Mononoke.

17/26

There are lifesize figurines here too, but this one would have been perfect for photo opportunities if it was placed lower to the ground.

18/26

Oh hey, recognise this witch?

19/26

Our heart melted when we saw this at Kiki's Delivery Service section.

20/26

Oh, this witch isn't as innocent as Kiki for sure. But she's a key character in one of the most beloved Studio Ghibli's films of all time.

21/26

Of course we are talking about Spirited Away. Remember this scene of No-Face's rampage?

22/26

This is the second of our favourite photo opportunity. Yes, you can sit down with No-Face for one of the most iconic scene in the film.

23/26

There are also some physical activities that you can partake in. Such as drawing your own soot sprites.

24/26

There are more photo opportunities in the exhibition, including this from Castle in the Sky

25/26

This is an iconic scene from Castle in the Sky too.

26/26

You can't miss the World of Studio Ghibli ArtScience Musuem exhibition at ArtScience Musuem with Ponyo welcoming you, quite literally. The exhibition runs from now until 2 February, 2025. Tickets can be purchased here.
