Against the backdrop of Singapore's iconic Marina Bay Sands, Disney brought the magic to life at its Content Showcase APAC 2024. With sneak peeks at upcoming blockbusters and major streaming series from studios like Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, and even from its not-so-recent acquisition 20th Century Studios, the event was a wonderful showcase of Disney's creative momentum for 2025 and beyond – after a rather lacklustre year.
The highlights were as starry as they come, with a virtual appearance by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, alongside an in-person visit from Anthony Mackie (aka Captain America). These celebrity moments were perfectly complemented by a slew of fresh trailers, including a first look at Mufasa: The Lion King, teasers for Zootopia 2 (which will also star Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan as a snake character), and previews from Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
It was a moment for Disney to remind us that whether it’s on the big screen, streaming platforms, or beyond, the entertainment company is still capable of capturing our imaginations.
