UNIQLO Singapore teams up with Studio Ghibli for second exclusive collection
UNIQLO is also hosting a popup at Bugis+ from August 18 to September 14, offering interactive Ghibli-inspired activities and installations.
The worlds of fashion and animation are set to collide again as UNIQLO announces its second collaborative collection with iconic animation house Studio Ghibli. Dubbed “Hey, Let’s Go!”, the collection will launch exclusively at UNIQLO's Bugis+ outlet on August 17 and is available only in Southeast Asia.
This exclusive collection consists of 27 items, including adult, kids, and baby clothing, along with five accessory pieces. Fans can look forward to T-shirts, shirts, sweatshirts, and socks that celebrate Studio Ghibli's legacy and its most cherished works. With the involvement of Thai artist Kanyada and veteran Studio Ghibli Producer Toshio Suzuki, the collection features unique designs that span across the entire lineup.
The pricing ranges from $19.90 to $39.90 for adult pieces, while the accessories will be priced between $5.90 and $19.90. Both kid's and baby’s items retail at $14.90. After the exclusive launch at Bugis+, the collection will be made available at all UNIQLO stores and online from August 21.
UNIQLO is also hosting a popup at Bugis+ from August 18 to September 14, offering interactive Ghibli-inspired activities and installations. Iconic scenes and characters, including the moving castle from Howl’s Moving Castle and Totoro from My Neighbour Totoro, will be brought to life in the atrium.
Additionally, customers can partake in a stamp rally, where they can collect six limited edition Ghibli stamps scattered throughout the mall, including the UNIQLO store. UNIQLO APP members can also redeem a limited-edition poster from the Bugis+ store.
UNIQLO Singapore will also be offering fans a chance to win tickets to the Studio Ghibli Film Fest, running from August 17 to 22, at Golden Village Bugis+. The giveaways, limited to Singapore residents, will be conducted weekly on UNIQLO Singapore’s Instagram page from July 21 to August 10.
Audience members at the Film Fest will receive a Ghibli-branded goodie bag, including a character poster and UTme! vouchers for shoppers to customise their LifeWear with Ghibli designs.
Lastly, from August 18 to September 14, customers will have a chance to meet Yubaba, an iconic Studio Ghibli character. By sharing their names with the mascot, they can redeem a pair of movie tickets to a film screening. This offer is limited to one redemption per customer, while stocks last.
