The videos are only available on two Pokemon-themed jets. #ana #pokemon #pikachu

In-flight safety demonstrations videos tend to be serious (as it rightly should be) and dry, but airlines have made efforts to make their respective safety videos more interesting to catch passengers’ attention. Remember Air New Zealand’s epic Middle-earth themed video?
Now All Nippon Airways (ANA) has joined the bandwagon, by roping in our favourite yellow rodent Pikachu and gang to teach us how to stay safe. It’s too cute to not watch it. Beginning 15 August, 2024, ANA's Pikachu Jet NH and Eevee Jet NH will start playing a Pokemon-themed in-flight safety video and disembarkation video.

ANA’s new safety video will be available in English and Japanese and includes a sign language interpreter too. There is the usual safety flight information such as how to fasten your seatbelt, how to inflate a life vest and what to do in case of an emergency – all demonstrated by a 3D animated Pokemon. There are plenty of hilarious moments, which I won’t spoil for you.
After all, the goal of the video is to have you watch it.
But there's not all. ANA also released a second disembarkation video, which tugged at my heart.
