Philips Evnia’s new gaming monitor mixes eye care with high refresh rates

While this 300Hz gaming monitor won’t make you a better player, this panel is certified for low blue-light and flicker-free output, so your gaming binges are at least more comfortable.

Philips’ sub-brand for its gaming products, Evnia, just launched a new IPS-type gaming monitor. What makes it unique are the eye comfort and eyecare benefits designed to enhance your longer gaming sessions.

The Evnia 27M2N3500UK uses a Circular Polarising Light Panel, which combines various Evnia display technologies to buff up its IPS panel. The polarising effect on this 27-inch monitor helps reduce glare and prevent interference during your gaming sessions.

According to Philips, the IPS delivers vivid and lifelike visuals, while the circular polarising layer reduces eye strain. Other announced details include its 300Hz refresh rate and “versatile connectivity options” that cater to remote work, casual entertainment, educational endeavours, and (of course) gaming.

Verifying its eye comfort perks are two certifications, specifically TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free Backlighting. To further protect your eyesight, the monitor also features adaptive brightness control, which adjusts its illumination based on ambient light.

Currently, there’s no further information about the Evnia 27M2N3500UK for our country.

Unfortunately, that’s all the details we have, as the monitor wasn’t uploaded to its official website at the time of publication. It’d be nice to know basic information, such as the display-related ports it has, the tilt-and-swivel angles, whether it can support wireless casting, as well as the resolution in pixels.

Philips added that the Evnia 27M2N3500UK Circular Polarising Esports Monitor will go on sale “in the APAC region” from June 2025 onwards, with official pricing to be confirmed.
