Go back to Hogwarts with Secretlab’s new Harry Potter-themed Magnus Pro desk

Though as usual for a Magnus Pro desk, it has a rather stupefying price.

We can’t all be wizards, but that doesn’t mean us muggles can’t have some magic in their daily lives.

We covered Secretlab’s initial collaboration with the Harry Potter franchise four years ago, when it released the first Titan Evo gaming chair of the lineup, along with the accompanying lumbar pillows that matched the four Hogwarts houses. Since then, it’s added a series of Skins for the four houses, too, so no matter where the Sorting Hat places you, Secretlab has a chair covered for all Potterheads.

However, that’s just one half of your setup, as the company’s Harry Potter collection didn’t include any of its Magnus metal desks in the lineup.

But that changes today, with the release of Secretlab’s Magnus Pro Harry Potter Edition. Just a couple days before Back to Hogwarts Day on 1 September, the sit-to-stand desk is joining the collection, with a design inspired by the Marauder’s Map that accompanied Harry in the wizarding school over the years.

The table features a velvety microsuede finish with a colour that’s meant to mimic parchment paper.

You won’t need to recite anything to get this map to open, though you will find the quote “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good” etched onto the Magnus Pro’s metal sleeve as an easter egg. And as usual with collaborative Magnus Pro releases, there also comes a matching cable management bundle. In this case, the bundle features Harry Potter’s wand, as well as some iconic spells from the series.

The cable management bundle features more wizarding motifs, including spells from the franchise.

Of course, underneath the Harry Potter decor is still Secretlab’s flagship desk, replete with features including an integrated power supply column, height adjustment from 65cm to 125cm, and an ecosystem of magnetic accessories. You can read more about what we thought of the Magnus Pro in our review of it here.

Pricing and Availability

The Secretlab MAGNUS Pro Harry Potter Edition is available now on Secretlab’s website, and like the plain Magnus Pro, it’ll cost you a pretty penny, as it will start at US$908/S$999.

Update: The starting price was previously listed as S$908 in error. This has since been corrected.
