Ubisoft drops a new Assassin’s Creed Shadows update featuring a collab with Attack on Titan

This is Assassin’s Creed Shadows’s second collab after Dead by Daylight.

Ubisoft has launched a new collaboration between Assassin’s Creed Shadows and the anime franchise Attack on Titan. The collab, which comes as part of Update 1.1.6, is a limited time event, slated to last until 22 December.

One of the main additions to the game as part of this crossover includes a free story quest, featuring Shadows’s main characters Naoe and Yasuke facing off against a mysterious faction who wields a Titan-Shifter as a weapon. The trailer, which you can watch below, also shows both characters exploring the Underground Chapel.

After finishing the quest, one of the rewards include an exclusive crystal katana for Naoe. Aside from the story quest, the in-game store will also be receiving some AOT goodies, in the form of an Attack on Titan Dual Pack that contains numerous AOT-inspired cosmetic items.

One of the collab quest’s rewards is a katana for Naoe that gives her an affect resembling AOT’s Titan Hardening ability. It’s only cosmetic, however.

Outside of the AOT collab, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will also be getting another story quest titled “A Puzzlement”. The quest is a bit more of a lighthearted romp which sees Naoe and Yasuke figuring out how to open a mysterious door in Wakasa. As you might expect, the quest will have a bigger focus on puzzle-solving elements.

Finally, there’s a whole slew of expected bug fixes and improvements as well, including to Corrupted Castles, which will have a better spread of Daisho enemies per castle. The chances of encountering castles from previous seasons will also be reduced.
