Blizzard Entertainment has announced a crossover event for its iconic World of Warcraft and Diablo franchises. Dubbed “Eternal War,” this limited-time collaboration will see the realms of Azeroth and Sanctuary merge in Diablo Immortal from today through 11 December.
Among the various content introduced is a face-off against one of Warcraft’s enemies, the Lich King. Players will be able to battle him in the new Fallen Citadel encounter, where they can earn Warcraft weapon cosmetics while under the barrage of his arsenal of abilities, including Frenzied Ghouls and Ravenous Abominations.

In addition to the Lich King confrontation, the Eternal War event will also introduce the Cutthroat Basin - a new PVP battleground inspired by World of Warcraft’s Arathi Basin. Here, players will engage in battle under the Alliance and Horde factions complete with familiar locations like the Mill, Smithy, and Stables.
Besides combat activities, the crossover will also feature the addition of a new Mourneskull Legendary Gem, Murloc-inspired familiar skins, and access to a special betrayer’s bonds phantom market showcasing Illidan-themed cosmetics.
Throughout the event, players can complete daily tasks and participate in battles to earn Frozen Boons, which will help them progress through the event’s ranks. There are also log-in rewards which offer players the opportunity to earn free legendary gems and weapon skins.
The Eternal War event is now live and readers can find out more about the event via Blizzard's developer post here.
