This is shaping up to be an exciting summer!
DC Comics has just announced a massive new virtual event called Fandome. The event will be available for 24 hours, offering fans a sneak peek of new movies, TV shows and videogames from Warner Bros. Entertainment.
Fandome is a pretty exciting event for fans of the DC universe. According to an official release, the event will feature, “new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics.” Additionally, cast and creators from many DC projects will be present, including:
Aquaman, The Batman, Batwoman, Black Adam, Black Lightning, DC Super Hero Girls, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn, the SnyderCut of Justice League, Lucifer, Pennyworth, SHAZAM!, The Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Teen Titans GO!, Titans, Watchmen, Young Justice: Outsiders and, coming this fall to theaters worldwide, Wonder Woman 1984.
The biggest names on this list are clearly The Batman, Black Adam, the Justice League SnyderCut, The Suicide Squad, Superman & Lois and Wonder Woman 1984 - all projects that have mostly been kept under wraps until now. Interestingly, HBO's Watchmen is making an appearance as well - so we might see a Season 2 announcement alongside new details on HBO Max's upcoming Green Lantern and Justice League Dark TV shows.

Warner Bros. also have a ton of huge games in the pipeline that they have yet to show off. Arkham Knight developer Rocksteady Games is reportedly working on a Suicide Squad game. Warner Bros. Montréal has been teasing a new Batman game since 2018, which was later reported to be Arkham: Legacy and feature a playable Batfamily. Footage from an upcoming Harry Potter game developed by Avalanche Software was leaked way back in 2018, and insider Jason Schreier has confirmed that the game, “is still happening.”
We know that these games are in development, but Warner Bros. seems to be waiting for a big event to make things official. Well, what could be bigger than DC’s Fandome? The event begins on August 23, 1am (Singapore time). You can tune in here.
