Seemingly missing in Hogwarts Legacy, the game of Quidditch is now available for play as a separate game. The game dubbed, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is the latest addition to the wizarding world franchise.
This new game, developed by Unbroken Studios and published under the Portkey Games label, aims to immerse fans in the magical sport of Quidditch, as introduced in the Harry Potter books and films. For those wondering, J.K. Rowling did not have anything to do with the development of the game.
The game offers various play modes, including solo play, cooperative online matches with friends, and competitive PVP games. If you’re unfamiliar with the world of Harry Potter and the game of Quidditch, players can take on the roles of a Beater, Chaser, Keeper, or Seeker, while flying through the arenas to score goals on a broom.
From casual matches at the Weasley Burrow to high-stakes competitions at the Quidditch World Cup, players will have the opportunity to play as or against iconic characters such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.
In the trailer, the developers have showcased the Triwizard School Quidditch pitches, featuring the first-ever adaptations of Beauxbatons Academy and Durmstrang Institute. These new locations will be accessible through the game’s Career Mode, where players can participate in the Triwizard Schools Quidditch Cup.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available for play on 3 September on multiple platforms including PlayStation 5/4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The standard edition will be priced at S$39.90.
The game will also be available at no extra charge to PlayStation Plus members from 3 September to 30 September along with an exclusive Firebolt Supreme Broom Skin. Additionally, if you are an owner of Hogwarts Legacy, a special bonus legacy pack can be redeemed upon downloading Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and connecting the game to your WB Games account.
