Toshiba Announces a Slew of Products
Toshiba has announced a slew of products including Qosmio and Satellite P-series gaming laptops, Satellite S40 series laptops for everyday use, Portégé Z10t Ultrabook, Excite Pure / Write tablets running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform, Canvio Connect portable hard drives, palm-held Camileo X150 Full HD camcorder, and a USB Mobile LED Monitor.

Qosmio X70
Aimed at power users that require highest computing performance and speed rates, high-end graphics, brilliant sound and multimedia capacities, as well as advanced connectivity features, the Performance Series Qosmio X70 powers on Intel Haswell Quad-core processors, and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M graphics with 3GB of GDDR5 memory. Offering a choice of a 1TB plus ultra-fast mSATA 256GB SSD memory or a Hybrid HDD (1TB + 8GB flash SDD), the system is further fuelled by up to 32GB of RAM capacity, and comes preloaded with the Toshiba Resolution+ software which up-converts movies and videos created in standard definition to HD quality.
Also, the 17.3-inch gaming laptop houses an UHD supporting HDMI-out port that up-converts and outputs Ultra HD content such as PC games, still pictures, movies or videos from the PC to an external Ultra HD capable TV. Equipped with four Harman Kardon stereo speakers with 6W music output tuned with the DTS Studio Sound flagship solution suite, the Qosmio X70 comes in the all new Black Cavalier design - with its tiled, frameless keyboard illuminated in red, enabling convenient text input and navigation even in low light conditions - just what gamers need.
Satellite P50t.
Satellite P-series
The P-series features two gaming models - the lightweight Satellite P50 with Intel Core i7 Quad-core processor, and the touch-friendly Satellite P50t with 10-point touch support. The latter comes with an intuitive edge-to-edge Full HD touchscreen with ten-point touch and swipe support, while all versions include an enlarged click touchpad that's ideal for navigating through the Windows 8 interface with finger movements without using a touchscreen.
Harmon Kardon speakers with Slip Stream technology projects sound excellently, while the DTS Studio Sound audio enhancement solution offers a more precise, richer, and more immersive audio experience. The Toshiba Split Screen Utility allows active windows to be arranged automatically and orderly on the screen, making multi-tasking easy. Like the Qosmio X70, the 15.6-inch P-series also comes equipped with UHD support via HDMI-out port on some models, and a tiled, frameless backlit LED keyboard.

Satellite S40 series
Enveloped in a brushed aluminum ice metallic silver finish, the Satellite S40 series powers on the latest Intel Core low power consumption processors, along with Intel HD, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M with Optimus technology. The 14.1-inch Satellite S40t laptop comes stocked with an integrated Optical Disk Drive and a full array of built-in ports, Toshiba’s USB Sleep & Charge technology, and a tiled keyboard with glossy frame and matte keys coupled with a large ClickPad with modern gesture support to maximize Windows 8 features.
The built-in Onyko speakers incorporate DTS Sound, while the versatility of a 10-point touch display makes controlling and navigating a laptop as intuitive and convenient as using a smart phone or a tablet. Similar to the Satellite P-series, the Satellite S40 series also comes pre-installed with Toshiba Split Screen Utility.

Portégé Z10t
Running on the Windows 8 Pro platform, this slim 11.6-inch Ultrabook comes with the ability to transform into a practical, intuitive tablet. Equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the Toshiba Excite Pure and Write come in a precious silver finish with a textured dot pattern for a steadier grip. Measuring just 10.2mm thin and weighing from only 600g, the 10.1-inch tablets support full 10-point multi-touch, MicroSD card expansion (up to 128GB), Micro-USB, and Micro HDMI capabilities, as well as 3D stereo gaming support.
Driven by the NVIDIA Tegra 4 Quad-core mobile processor with the NVIDIA GeForce GPU with 72 custom cores, the Excite Write boasts a PixelPure (2560 x 1600) display and an astounding four million pixels (300ppi), four times more pixels than previous generation REGZA tablets. Paired with a PLS display, it has the ability to support 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity with minimal lag.
The support for next gen 802.11ac wireless ensures faster speed and wider coverage, while Harmon Kardon speakers allows you cinema-like experience on a compact, ultra-mobile tablet screen. All new Excite tablet versions come packed with a range of useful features, including Thinkfree Office Mobile for Android with productivity applications and several audio enhancement tools such as Toshiba Audio Enhancement Pro and DTS Premium Voice Pro that offers a more precise and richer playback and recording experience. In addition, both Excite tablets come bundled with TruCapture, an extremely handy app for copying content from a whiteboard or flipchart via the in-built camera and have it digitally stored in the tablet.
Canvio Connect
Available in capacities of 500GB, 1TB, and 2GB, the Canvio Connect comes preloaded with NTI Backup Now EZ that lets you clone your computer and restore it back to its original saved state in the event of a computer crash. When connected to an Internet-enabled PC, users will have complete access to their files, photos, music, and movies from any device regardless of where they are. Additionally, it is pre-formatted with NTFS for Windows PC and comes with a NTFS driver for Mac, allowing users to store and access files from their PC and Mac without reformatting.
Backed by a three-year limited local warranty, the Canvio Connect includes 10GB of free cloud storage for storing "readily available" copies of important files.
Camileo X150
With a 10x optical zoom, the palm-held Camileo X150 camcorder doubles up as a 5-megapixel (CMOS sensor with BSI technology) digital still camera. Featuring Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080p), the X150 offers a 3-inch LCD touchscreen, smile detection, video stabilization, and connectivity options like the Mini HDMI and Mini USB 2.0 ports.
Mobile Monitor
Compatible with any Windows-based computer via a USB connection, the Mobile Monitor boasts a 15.6-inch diagonal widescreen display with up to 1366 x 768 HD resolution, and the same LCD with LED backlight panel as a laptop to provide clear and crisp images. Designed to fit in most laptop cases, the monitor can be used as an additional screen in extended mode for auditors, or anyone that wants to multi-task.
The Mobile Monitor includes a protective black carrying case, which quickly unfolds into an adjustable stand that can be set to various viewing levels and also houses the monitor’s included USB Y cable. While the display can be used without a power adaptor, an optional AC adapter (PA3743E-1AC3) will allow users to turn up the brightness to 220nits.
