Apple has been expanding its Arcade library with new titles added every month, but between 9 December and 9 January, Arcade subscribers can expect to see two of the most popular classic JRPGs coming to the service – Square Enix’s Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)+ and Trials of Mana+.
Final Fantasy IV (3D Remake)+ is a beautifully revived edition with updated graphics, improved gameplay, and added voice acting for event scenes. The fourth game in the mainline Final Fantasy series is also the first title to introduce the Active Time Battle system that players have come to love in the franchise. The game launches on 9 December.
Trials of Mana+ will make its way on 9 January, 2025. The spectacular world of Mana is now in full 3D render, and comes with features that makes playing on the iPhone and iPad’s touchscreens a little bit easier – such as auto-target, auto-camera and even an auto-battle option.
But that’s not all, Apple has also shared that more Square Enix titles will be making its way to Apple Arcade, including a remaster of the original Final Fantasy+ and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. The latter is especially intriguing, as the story unfolds many years after the events of Final Fantasy IV. Classic characters make their return alongside several new heroes, such as Ceodore, son of Cecil and Rosa.
The service will also release exclusive new games and award-winning titles from the App Store over the coming months, including Boggle: Arcade Edition, Pac-Man 256+ , Hot Wheels: Race Off+, Barbie Color Creations+, and Little Cities: Diorama (Apple Vision Pro) 5 December; Gears & Goo (Vision Pro), Three Kingdoms Heroes, Rodeo Stampede+, and It’s Literally Just Mowing+.
