BLAST has announced that the 2024 Blast Premier World Final will be held in Singapore from 30 October to 3 November.
This marks the first time that the tournament has taken place in the region with previous editions of the Blast World Final having taken place in Copenhagen, Denmark and Abu Dhabi, UAE. The move comes after two years of the World Final being held in Abu Dhabi, where the event reportedly faced low attendance issues.

The event, which serves as the finale of the 2024 Blast Premier season, will feature eight of the world’s top CS2 teams competing for a share of the USD$1 million prize pool. Five teams have already secured their sports by winning various competitions with the remaining three to be decided by the winner of the Blast Fall Final and the Blast World ranking. (Note: If Na’Vi, Spirit, or Vitality wins the Fall Final, that spot will go to a World Ranking team instead)
The team list for the event so far:
- Natus Vincere (Na’Vi): PGL Major Copenhagen winner
- Team Spirit: Blast Spring Final & IEM Katowice winner
- Team Vitality: IEM Cologne
- Faze Clan: Global Leaderboard
- G2:Global Leaderboard
- Blast Fall Final 2024 Winner

The decision to host the event in Singapore is part of a larger initiative by BLAST, supported by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), to establish the city-state as a major esports destination. Ong Ling Lee, Executive Director of Sports and Wellness at STB, commented on the significance of the event:
The Counter-Strike event marks the first BLAST-branded event in Southeast Asia and the inaugural Counter-Strike tournament series in the region, solidifying Singapore's position as a world-class esports destination.
Besides Counter-Strike 2, Blast has also announced plans to hold a Dota 2 event dubbed the Blast Slam in Singapore in 2025. Fans interested in attending the BLAST Premier World Final 2024 can sign up for the pre-sale window by registering with BLAST.tv, where they will receive updates and information on tickets.
