Even if you're a big Disney-head, you might not remember a rhythm game titled Disney Music Parade. Featuring a list of playable Disney songs, it's a bit obscure, having only been released as a mobile game in Japan. The game ran for two years before discontinuing in 2023. That might’ve been the end of the story, but Japanese game developer Imagineer has just announced its spiritual successor: Disney Music Parade -Encore-.
A Nintendo Switch title, Disney Music Parade -Encore- was originally announced during a Japan-only Nintendo Direct in August, but Imagineer has confirmed that it will also be available for the rest of Asia.
The game takes its cues from rhythm-game Groove Coaster, where you’re syncing your hits to the beat in a colourful 3D-like space. -Encore- is offering 60 songs in total for you to play through, consisting of tracks from classic Disney offerings like The Little Mermaid and The Lion King, to newer CGI films like Zootopia, Moana and Frozen.
There are also 'Collections', or cosmetic items you can acquire in the game, as well: 'Memory Crystals', or scenes from the movies that will play as you go through the beat chart, and 'Music Rides', which are collectible animated cards.
Take a look at the trailer here:

-Encore- supports local multiplayer for up to four players, and the Asia-wide release will be available in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Korean.
There's no price tag for this game yet, but we do know that it will release on 12 December of this year. Japan will receive a slightly earlier release, on 21 November.
