Razer doubles down on esports with the Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition

The red finish might not be for everyone, but it does look stunning.

The Viper V3 Pro is a mouse in Razer’s lineup that leans toward the lighter side, and one that has an explicit focus towards esports gamers. So perhaps Razer is making sense when it thinks that the Viper V3 Pro is the right mouse for a tie-in.

And that’s exactly what the company has done, partnering with the esports team Sentinels to release the Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition.

Sentinels is a top-performing Valorant esports team that recently achieved 4th place at the Riot Games-organised Valorant Champions 2024 (VCT) tournament, held in August. This placing comes just a few months after their 1st place win at VCT 2024 Masters Madrid, which was held earlier in the year in March.

Meanwhile, the Viper V3 Pro, which we’ve covered and reviewed earlier this year, was rated the #1 mouse for Valorant on Prosettings.net from August to October 2024.

The Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition features a metallic red finish with black accents on the mouse wheel and side buttons, in line with the team’s own colours. The team’s logo is also blazoned on the top. The choices you got with the original Viper V3 Pro were only black and white, so if your setup happens to lean towards red or similarly warmer colours, this could fit in nicely.

The Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition also features the same esports-oriented features that the standard Viper V3 Pro has. This includes Razer’s Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor, a flagship feature offering a DPI of up to 35,000. It also supports a polling rate of up to 8,000Hz through Razer’s HyperPolling Wireless Dongle (the only way to connect it wirelessly as it doesn’t have Bluetooth), though as our findings in the review stated, can come at the cost of battery life, and Razer’s Gen 3 Optical Switches, giving it a lifespan of 90 million clicks. It also only weighs 54g.

Availability and Pricing

The Razer Viper V3 Pro Sentinels Edition is available now only at Razer's online store, and will cost you S$259, a S$20 premium over the standard Viper V3 Pro. Availability for authorised resellers will come at a later date this year.
