The trickle-down of features for older tech is always a great thing, and this is no exception. Razer has announced that Snap Tap, a feature first released on Synapse for the Huntsman Pro V3 line, is now available for a multitude of older Razer keyboards.
Snap Tap was first introduced for the Razer Huntsman Pro V3 line back in July through a Synapse update. The feature “prioritises the latest input between two selected keys without requiring the release of the previous key”, according to Razer’s website. Essentially, if you hold down 'key 1' and press 'key 2', Snap Tap will automatically unregister 'key 1' and instead register 'key 2' without you needing to physically lift your finger from 'key 1'.
Razer specifically notes counter-strafing in CS2 as an example where Snap Tap can come into play. A demonstration of its effects can be seen here:

For context, this is what it may look like without Snap Tap:

For games like CS2 where counter-strafing is a more core part of the game experience, Snap Tap does have the potential to heavily affect gameplay. Put it together with Rapid Trigger on analog keyboards, and it may be a potent combination for competitive titles. However, it remains to be seen whether this feature will make a big difference on all games.
Razer says that Snap Tap will be available on all keyboards supported by Razer Synapse 4, and this includes Razer Blade laptops supported by Razer Synapse 4.
Thanks to this, some older keyboards from as far back as 2014 now have Snap Tap capability, including the older Blackwidow keyboards. Razer has a full list of Synapse 4-compatible keyboards here that are candidates for Snap Tap-enabling.
