People are calling Microsoft out for skipping a Series X reveal in June
In their defense, Microsoft had previously specified that the next Xbox 20/20 event would take place in July.

Ah, there it is again - the pain of having to wait for reveals. This time, it's regarding the next Xbox 20/20 video event, which Microsoft promises will take place in July.
While that's good to hear considering each event drops us more info on the Xbox Series X, what's interesting is that a June event has supposedly vanished into thin air, or as Microsoft claims, it never existed, to begin with. Remember when Microsoft first informed us about having a monthly video event to cover games from third-party studios, as well as a certain "monthly moments" gig? The one in May gave us the oh-so-lit Assassin's Creed Valhalla, along with a bunch of other cool titles. Along with that, Microsoft also mentioned that another of these events, featuring first-party games from Xbox Game Studios would be held in July.
Sounds hunky-dory on paper, but logically, if someone told you they would hold an office party every month, and the first was held in May, you'd expect the next event to take place sometime in June, right? Well, that's what everyone thought too. As such, when some online rumours arose that a "June event" had been delayed, and Microsoft staff went on Twitter to clarify that there was never a June event in the first place, people started holding that "monthly event" card over their heads demanding answers.

It's rather amusing if you think about this whole situation from the sidelines, but if the folks at Microsoft intended to skip June, there is the question of why they even bothered with calling it a "monthly event" at all. Still, we can hardly blame the community for being a little annoyed about it, although they did technically dig themselves into this hole. Nevertheless, looks like we're all stuck waiting until they announce a date for the July event.
