Sony is celebrating 30 years of PlayStation with a limited edition collection of PS5 consoles and accessories. The new lineup features a classic two-tone grey colour scheme and the iconic multicoloured PlayStation logo, reminiscent of the original 1994 console.
Check out the anniversary collection, which includes:
- PS5 Digital Edition Bundle
- PS5 Pro Bundle
- PlayStation Portal Remote Player
- DualSense Edge Wireless Controller
- DualSense Wireless Controller
For both console bundles, they will come with themed accessories and collector’s items like cable ties, stickers, and posters. The PS5 Pro Bundle on the other hand is limited to 12,300 units worldwide and will include a 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7 capability, and additional accessories.
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be released on 21 November, a couple of weeks right after the release of the PS5 Pro. Pre-orders for most of the items begin on 26 September exclusively through PlayStation Direct. A second round of pre-orders will take place at other retailers starting 10 October.

All that’s left is the price which is currently unknown. With limited availability especially for the PS5 Pro bundle, interest in the collection will likely skyrocket among collectors, scalpers, and gamers alike.
Update (25 Sep 2024): Pre-order details for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection
In Singapore, Sony is launching a pre-order contest that begins on 26 September, 2024, at 10:00AM (Singapore time) for the PlayStation 5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle on its website here (the page is not live at this point of writing). Sony says to "refer to the Terms and Conditions on the site for more information".
Pre-orders for the following PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection products can be made from participating retailers (click here for the list) starting September 26, 2024 at 10:00AM (SGT).
- PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle
- PlayStation Portal Remote Player – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition (standalone)
- DualSense Edge Wireless Controller – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition (standalone)

Sony is also keeping the prices close to their chest and we'll only know come 26 September.
