NVIDIA supercharges mobile gaming with the new GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1650 for notebooks

NVIDIA has just announced the new GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and GeForce GTX 1650 mobile GPUs for notebooks.
According to NVIDIA, these two new Turing-based GPUs will bring new levels of performance to the masses.
Before we dive into these new GPUs, here's a quick look at their important specs.

The GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is clearly the faster GPU of the two. Like its desktop counterpart, the mobile version that we have here is also based on NVIDIA's new Turing architecture.
NVIDIA claims it's up to 50% faster than the GeForce GTX 1060 and up to a whopping 400% faster than the GeForce GTX 960M from over four years ago.
Most crucially, this means that the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti will be able to run some of the most popular games like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends at over 100fps at 1080p resolution at High settings.

The GeForce GTX 1650 will be NVIDIA's mainstream mid-range mobile GPU offering. It is also based on the Turing architecture but has tamer performance due to its slower clock speeds and memory subsystem.
Still, NVIDIA claims the GeForce GTX 1650 will be up to 70% faster than the old GeForce GTX 1050 and over 250% faster than the GeForce GTX 950M.
The GeForce GTX 1650 will also be able to run popular titles like Fortnite, PUBG, and Apex Legends at over 60fps at 1080p resolution at High settings.
And for those curious about ray-tracing, these two new GPUs will also support real-time ray-tracing, though they will do so at a penalty to performance because of their lack of dedicated RTX cores.
If you have been considering a new midrange gaming notebook, you'll be happy to know that just about every major notebook manufacturer will have new notebooks featuring these new GPUs out very soon.
NVIDIA says gaming notebooks with the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti should start at around US$999 (~S$1,355) while notebooks with the GeForce GTX 1650 will start at a much lower US$799 (~S$1083).
