NVIDIA has rolled out the ShadowPlay feature in its latest GeForce Experience update. ShadowPlay was announced last month at NVIDIA's Montreal 2013 event. It promises to let gamers record their gameplay without affecting their gaming experience.
ShadowPlay lets gamers record their gaming experience without taking a drastic frame rate hit.
The ShadowPlay feature is able to achieve such a feat due to the built-in H.264 encoders in the latest GeForce GTX 600 and 700 series cards. ShadowPlay captures gameplay videos at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with frame rates of 60fps. It "records up to the last twenty minutes of gameplay" by default, and in manual mode, the length of the captured video is unrestricted.
