MSI has announced that it is working on its next iteration of the Claw gaming handheld.

Dubbed the Claw 8 AI, it will be powered by Intel’s next-gen Core Ultra processors (aka Lunar Lake) and so will also have some notable hardware changes such as an additional Thunderbolt 4-supported USB-C port.

It will also have an “enhanced” LB/RB buttons and increased battery capacity. MSI also says it is replacing the charger with a lighter wall-mounted one.

MSI hasn’t announce any pricing or release details of the Claw 8 AI yet, but I would not be surprised to see it launched in time for the Christmas holiday period. MSI says the Claw 8 AI will be coming in January 2025 and it's very likely that the final build will be displayed at its booth at CES 2025 too.

Separately, the company also revealed a limited edition of its existing Claw handheld that comes with a Fallout co-branded design at Computex (see image above).
