Launched at IFA 2016, the Acer Predator 21 X claims to be the world’s first gaming laptop with a curved display. It comes with eye tracking technology that is purported to provide a more immersive gaming experience! The gaming laptop has a 21-inch, IPS display with a 2200R curvature ((that is, the curve of a circle with a radius of 2,200mm). It has maximum resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels, and comes with NVIDIA G-Sync, the variable refresh rate technology that minimizes graphics tearing and stuttering. A pair of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics chips in SLI configuration will make short work of demanding PC game titles, while the laptop’s Tobii eye-tracking technology touts to provide a more immersive gaming experience. Alas, it isn’t the first gaming laptop to feature this technology as MSI debuted its GT72 Dominator Pro Tobii gaming laptop during CES 2016 in January.

The Acer Predator 21 X sports the latest 7th generation Intel Core “Kaby Lake” CPU, and it supports up to 64GB of DDR4-2400 RAM. The system is kept running cool by five system fans, of which three are ultra-thin Aeroblade metal fans, for effective heat dissipation. In terms of audio output, the Predator 21 X sports the SoundPound 4.2+ system, consisting of four speakers and two subwoofers. The gaming laptop has enough girth to accommodate a full-sized mechanical keyboard, with Cherry MX switches, and each individual key comes with a customizable RGB backlight setting. Its uniquely-designed numeric keypad can be flipped over to reveal a touchpad. According to PC Gamer, the laptop weighs 8kg, and requires two power supplies. Its pricing details aren’t available and it’s rumored to be shipping by early 2017.
