Alongside its new IdeaPad Gaming and Thinkpad X1 Extreme notebooks, Lenovo is also showing its Legion lineup some love with a hardware refresh of the 16-inch Legion 5i Pro gaming laptop (now at Gen 7).

Key would be the upgrade to Intel's 12th Gen Core i7-12700H processor, along with support for DDR5 memory and NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. Display gets an upgrade too, with the notebook sporting one that goes up to 2560x1600 resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate. Lenovo Legion has also smartly gone for a dual-channel memory setup (ASUS, are you reading this?) with two 8GB sticks for a total of 16GB of memory.

Lenovo also revealed that the Legion 5i Pro comes packed with an 80WHr battery, although I don't think that will give the notebook enough juice for you to game on the go - simple productivity work should be fine though.

What's also interesting is the new Legion Coldfront 4.0 system inside the notebook, which Levono claims includes a larger exhaust area, improved heat pipe layout and updated fan design.

The 16-inch Legion 5i Pro (Gen 7) is available for pre-order now through Lenovo's website, or through their Lazada and Shopee storefronts for S$3,499 (Storm Grey version).
