iOS GameDock Brings Apple Games to the TV
Being funded on the crowd sourced platform Kickstarter, the iOS GameDock looks to improve the gaming experience offered by your Apple device. It allows you to play iOS games in the traditional way, on your TV with an actual controller to boot.

Mobile gaming has come leaps and bounds from the early days of smart devices. As hardware has steadily improved, the games have become more complex and have started offering better graphics. You only have to look at the popularity of Angry Birds to realize that games on the mobile platform are serious business.
The GameDock for iOS devices is leveraging on the mass appeal of mobile gaming and is currently up for funding on Kickstarter. This device, which is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod , effectively turns the Apple devices into a gaming console. A HDMI output will hook up the GameDock with your display while USB ports allow you to plug in two, retro looking controllers.
The GameDock breaks relatively new ground as well by allowing for a two player gaming experience which is obviously not possible when using your smartphone and its touch controls. At present, the GameDock is compatible with a large number of iCade games that are already out on the market. Seeing that the developers of this product, Cascadia Games, are also in the business of making gaming titles themselves, you can also expect future releases as well.
