At CES 2025, HP has kept reveals relating to its Omen line of gaming products short, but there were a couple of standout announcements. This includes a new gaming optimisation AI programme, as well as a new Omen gaming laptop with NVIDIA Blackwell graphics.
Beginning with the new Omen laptop, the Omen Max 16 takes its place as HP Omen's highest-end offering in the gaming laptop category, featuring updated CPU and GPU components. For the former, the Omen Max 16 features options from both Intel and AMD, with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (according to the product page) or up to a Ryzen 9 AI HX 375 (according to other news publications). Graphics options go up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU.
Apart from this, the Omen Max 16 also features some new cooling tech, including fans that blow in the opposite direction to clear dust buildup (only available on Intel SKUs), a new Omen Cryo Compound consisting of liquid metal and metal grease to improve heat dissipation, and a 'Pro' version of its Omen Tempest Cooling architecture.

Additionally, to go with the Omen Max 16, HP also announced its Omen AI software. Currently in Beta, HP is pitching Omen AI as the one-click solution to optimising your FPS, using machine learning to tailor adjustments based on the hardware and software you're running, and the game you're playing. Currently, Omen AI supports integration with Valorant, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Apex Legends, Red Dead Redemption II and Fortnite, but HP promises support for other popular titles coming in the future.
Other product announcements that HP also made at CES 2025 include the Omen 32x Smar Gaming Monitor, a 31.5-inch 4K 144Hz display that has Google TV built-in, and the HyperX Pulsefire Saga Mouse, which features customisable parts through a 3D print file (available soon here) and Instant Pair on selected Omen laptops.
Pricing and Availability
Local pricing and availability isn't out yet for the products listed above, but HP did give its US starting prices. The Omen Max 16 will be available starting at US$1,699.99 (going up to US$2,719.99 for the top-tier Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX if the product page is true). The Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor will be available in the US in April starting at US$749.99, while the HyperX Pulsefire Saga Gaming Mouse will be available in the US in March starting at US$79.99.
