Since its launch last month, Honor of Kings has achieved 50 million downloads on its global server. To commemorate this milestone, the game is rolling out a substantial update featuring new gameplay elements, leaderboard features, and a brand-new hero.
The main highlight of the update is the introduction of Augran, the “Seer of the Misty Marshes,” a new fighter hero. Augran brings unique abilities to the battlefield, including the power to summon enemy spirits and swiftly traverse terrain to reach teammates.

- Soul Resonance (Passive): Augran’s basic attacks create soul chains that deal increasing damage over time.
- Path of Passing (First skill): Creates a speedy path that ignores terrain and can instantly take out low-health enemies.
- Death’s Precipice (Second skill): A damaging swing attack that creates a “Life-Death Border” that marks enemies who touch it. If Augran attacks a marked enemy, he will deal damage to all marked targets in range, while getting healed for a portion of the damage dealt.
- Conductor of Souls (Ultimate): Augran can descend from the sky, knocking back enemies. If an enemy is hit, Augran will restore some of his health and create a spirit to assist him. For a period of time after casting Ultimate, Augran’s basic attack will execute enemy heroes below a certain threshold.
Alongside Augran, the update also introduces the Elite Player Privileges system, allowing top-ranked players to share benefits with their teammates. This feature aims to reward mastery and encourage teamwork, offering perks such as additional experience points and skin privileges.
A new "Championship" feature has been added, allowing players to form local teams and compete for national recognition. Teams can register between Wednesday and Friday each week, with matches taking place on Saturdays.
On the esports front, Honor of Kings will have their upcoming Honor of Kings Invitational Midseason which is a part of the Esports World Cup that is currently underway in Riyadh. A total of 12 teams will fight for a USD 3,000,000 prize pool with the first match set to start on 1 August between KPL Dream Team and Team Falcons.
Lastly, to celebrate the 50 million download milestone, Honor of Kings is running a special campaign event until August 18, offering players the chance to collect exclusive rewards.
Players can try out Augran by updating their game to the latest version. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to acquire him for free during a special event campaign from 27 to 28 July.
