Fans of Honkai: Star Rail and Fate/Stay Night are in for a treat. Hoyoverse’s turn-based RPG gacha game Honkai: Star Rail teased a collaboration with the fantasy-action anime series Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works. This marks the first official collaboration that Honkai: Star Rail is getting.

The collaboration was revealed during Gamescom 2024 right after the trailer of Zenless Zone Zero. In case you missed it, we have summarised all the big gameplay trailers and updates from Gamescon here.

The crossover will bring characters and elements from Ufotable's anime into the world of Honkai: Star Rail. It is likely that iconic characters of the Holy Grail War, such as Shirou Emiya, Saber, Rin Tohsaka, and Archer, are expected to make their way into the game.

Though most of the collaboration is under wraps for now, hopefully, the crossover will introduce playable characters or skins into the game. The Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works collaboration is slated to launch in the third quarter of 2025.

This is not Hoyoverse’s first rodeo with an anime crossover. They had previously brought characters from Evangelion and Promate into Honkai Impact 3rd. Additionally, this isn’t the first time that Ufotable and Hoyoverse have worked together. The latter had actually planned for the animation studio to create an anime adaptation of Genshin Impact, but there have been no updates just yet.
