Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will launch in October with multiplayer missions

A ton of new content is coming to both singleplayer and multiplayer game modes for Ghost of Tsushima.

Return to Tsushima with some friends in tow. 

Sucker Punch Productions has confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a new cooperative multiplayer game mode will hit Ghost of Tsushima on October 16, 2020. The multiplayer mode will be introduced in the game’s upcoming 1.1 update, which brings a whole bunch of improvements to the original game as well.

The singleplayer game mode will be getting a bunch of new features, chief of which is New Game+. Players can now restart the entire game with all Techniques, Gear and Vanity items retained from a previous playthrough, with increased difficulty. There will also be new upgrades for Jin Sakai’s weapons, as well as new Charms and a new horse. 

Armour Loadouts are now available, allowing you to equip specific Charms and vanity items to each of Jin’s armour sets. A mysterious merchant will also show up in Ariake, allowing you to trade the new Ghost Flower for elaborate armour dyes and gear. Photo Mode has also been changed up, and the game will now display your total play time. 

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends on the other hand, will feature two-player story missions and four-player survival missions at launch. Weeks after that, a multiplayer raid will arrive, featuring, “an epic three-part adventure that will require excellent teamwork and communication to overcome.” You’ll take control of one of four legendary warriors, fighting through hordes of enemies to earn snazzy cosmetics and gear. 

As if we needed another reason to dive back into this gorgeous game, right?
