Gamevice MFi Game Controller Could Maximize Gaming Potential of Your iPad Mini
The Gamevice clamps onto the sides of your iPad Mini and adds lots of physical buttons to your gaming experience. It connects directly to the Lightning connector instead of Bluetooth, so there is no risk of disconnection or a dead battery.

MFi game controllers on the market are mainly designed for the iPhone, such as the Razer Junglecat, but now there is an option for iPad Mini users -- the recently announced Gamevice. This clamp-on accessory comes with dual analog sticks, directional pad, four face buttons and two digital shoulder buttons, but surprisingly does not add much bulk to the lightweight Apple tablet. The creators of Gamevice based their design on their very own Wikipad, a 7-inch Android tablet with a much chunkier build that was released last year.
The Gamevice connects via the Lightning connector with the two halves tethered via an elastic strap behind the iPad Mini. You will end up with a device that looks somewhat similar to the PS Vita or a Wii U gamepad. This setup has significant advantages over Bluetooth controllers that may have connection issues, need to be charged to work, and drains the battery of the iPad Mini more quickly.
The controller is expected to release in time for holiday shopping season later this year, and currently supports only the iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina Display. According to Gamevice, it will work with all iOS games that support MFi controllers.
