Here's some more gameplay footage for Gears 5
The newest instalment of the beloved franchise drops on Sep 6 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users.
All aboard the hype train; because we've got even more preview footage for Gears 5.
This one's approximately 15 minutes long - a perfect fit for your coffee break. And so, with mug in hand and a doughnut in the other, let's get right into it.
From what we know, the above footage is taken from the second act of the campaign, where "Kait attempts to enlist the help of someone close to her before they get caught up in battle.". To be honest, that isn't much to go on plot-wise, but there's no fun to be had if they spoiled everything anyway.
On a more objective note, the game's core formula doesn't seem to have changed much. It's still sticking to its guns (pun intended) - third-person shooter, intense firefights, etc. Fans can still enjoy the usual Gears of War menu, and we're not complaining, nor surprised, for that matter. After all, the franchise has been around for more than a decade, so they have to be doing something right. Right?
Anyway, let's move on to release dates. On paper, the game is set to roll out on September 10, so interested parties have just under a week to get their gaming rigs or consoles sorted out. However, for those with a Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you might want to get them ready tonight. Gears 5 will be playable for you guys starting from tomorrow - nearly a week before everyone else.
