Fall Guys' second season will give players a lot more Crowns
Season 2 will give you a total of 21 Crowns just for playing, up from a mere 3 in Season 1.

About three months ago, when the battle royale seemed all but excessively overused, indie developer Mediatonic took the gaming world by storm with their own quirky spin on the genre. There were no guns, weapons or shrinking battle zones here. Just 60 adorable jellybean characters and a gauntlet of daft minigames and obstacle courses.
In the weeks that followed, Fall Guys quickly became one of the best-selling titles on Steam, and it's still doing pretty well right now. But while many players are still falling head over heels for it (pun intended), the community has expressed some disappointment regarding the game's meagre progress rewards, especially where Crowns are concerned. Fortunately, Mediatonic is working to address that - Season 2 will be much more generous when it comes to giving out Crowns.
For those who aren't familiar, Crowns are basically the game's "premium" currency, which players can collect either by levelling up or winning matches. However, assuming you didn't manage to win a single match in Season 1, you could only get a maximum of three as level-up rewards, and with premium costumes in the shop costing about five Crowns apiece, it's not hard to see why some players got a little miffed.

Fortunately, you'll now be able to acquire a maximum of 21 Crowns just by playing the game and levelling up, regardless of whether you win or not. Of course, we can safely assume this number stacks additively with Crowns that you score through your matches, so there's still some incentive for winning.
Anyway, it's nice to know that Mediatonic is paying attention to the community's feedback, and we can probably expect more changes to follow when Season 2 officially begins next week. Fall Guys may not be the most action-packed game on the market right now, but it definitely is one of the most adorable and creative concepts we've seen in a while. Perhaps more so now that I can finally afford that dragon head costume.
